Horseback riding to the beach

After finding each other, we will drive you to The Ranch. The distance from downtown La Paz is around 20km (aprox 20 min. drive). Once we arrive we will have a delicious breakfast prepared by our onsite chef. Before starting our adventure we will head over to the stables where our team and guides will have the horses already saddled up. Firstly, you will ride around in the training school to ensure you are comfortable with your chosen horse, this will prepare you for your main ride, then you may either choose to ride around the trails and enjoy the beauty of the Sonoran desert and mountain scenery or ride down to the sea front and ride on the beach, both are wonderful choises, the guides will help you with this. SRL is a unique and very large ranch with magnificent views to the Espiritu Santo island and the sea of cortez. During you ride on the beach (Tecolote) with our guides, we may make a stop at one of the hut-like bars or take a dip in the ocean and enjoy the view. From there we will head back to the ranch where our onsite chef will have prepared a freshly made three course lunch which could be seafood, meat or vegan.

Can I go if I have never ridden a horse?
Yes, we will give you clear instructions on how to ride, we also have 8 super tame horses perfect for first timers!

Rancho San Lorenzo is 500 acre horse ranch and one of the most beautiful natural attraction points in La Paz. It has been a real working ranch for decades and now is open as a public place for locals and tourist to enjoy horseback riding in the mountains and pathtrails designed to get beautiful views to the Espiritu Santo Island, as well as riding to the beach. The ranch is located just 10 minutes away from Balandra beach and Tecolote, so we may ride to the Tecolote beach.

We´ll meet by the kiosk in front of the cathedral at the “Jardin Velazco” park at 9:00 am. or at your accommodation. Aproximately 20 minutes ride to the ranch
