Baja California Sur enjoys over 300 days of sunshine a year, but the season you choose shapes everything — from water temperature to whale sightings to price.

November to May — the classic season

Warm, dry days in the mid-20s to low-30s °C, cool evenings and calm seas. This is prime time for whales, diving and every outdoor pursuit. December through March is busiest; book stays and tours early.

June to September — warm water, fewer crowds

Summer brings hot, humid days and the warmest ocean of the year — bath-like and perfect for snorkeling. Occasional late-summer storms pass through, but you'll trade a little unpredictability for lower prices and quiet beaches.

The sweet spots

For the best balance of weather, value and space, aim for late October–November or April–May. You get warm water, gentle crowds and shoulder-season rates.
